Please Let Me Know You Noticed Me! Challenge – Day 5
I know there are lots of people out there who are content and happy as long as they can fly under the radar. Bloggers are most likely not in that group of folks. We WANT to be noticed. We NEED to be noticed.
I have had more comments on my posts this week because of the blog challenge than I’ve had in the 3 months since my blog’s inception. The added bonus of the challenge is it’s helping me find new blogs and bloggers find me. My simple brain had not thought of that outcome when this all started. I wish I had more time right now to explore more blogs but I’m making a point of getting to as many as I possibly can.
Consider how you feel when someone writes something really nice and encouraging on your blog. I received such a comment today from Melanie of Solo Mompreneur. Of course I responded to her comment and checked out her blog. I had not yet noticed her in the challenge but that surely changed today! I’m now following her on Twitter as well and see she has retweeted my posts. Wow – it just keeps getting better.
My new goal is to take the time to comment on others’ blogs. I’ve done that some in the past, but not enough. Perhaps I can encourage someone like Melanie encouraged me today.
To close out this post, I’d like to send you to an article written by Darren Rowse of ProBlogger titled 10 Techniques to Get More Comments on Your Blog. It’s an oldie (written October, 2006) but goodie. I especially like #10. I got rid of the name/email requirement after reading that. I didn’t know!
Would you like to comment on my piece about commenting? Please click the Comments link below and come back next week for week 2 of the Blog Challenge. 5 days down and 26 to go. You just don’t know what you might learn!
